HELP!! Samsung PC Studio 3.0

I can not install Samsung Pc Studio 3.0 on my PC!!

when i start the Setup.exe and chose language,then windows says "THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE APPLICATION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED"

can somebody tell me why i cant install the Software??

That's a problem with the install shield I guess...

Go to folder C:\Program Files\Common Files.
Right-click on the InstallShield folder - choose rename and change the name to InstallShieldOld.

Should do it, I think... if not, rename the folder again and wait for more help to arrive ;)

I have installed Samsung PC Studio 3.0 on my PC. But I cannot start the Phone Manager and the Message Manager. Every time I want to start these to programs, the C++ Runtime Error occurs (abnormal program termination). I have this problem just on these two, the other programs are running correct.

I had Samsung EasyStudio on the pc, but I have uninstalled it and also have cleaned the registry entries.
Can anyone help me?

Hi,

My PC Studio installed fine. I can synch my phone with my laptop thru USB very well also. I am however having trouble connecting via Bluetooth.

The attached files show the error message and the assignment of bluetooth ports on my computer.

Please help.

the best thing to do is to install the pim anfile manager 2 ... it supports the d600 too


that will slove all the problems

Hey hope theres someone out there who can help me cuz i dont know much about PC's....lol....but i bought a samsung d800 the other day n got the sotware samsung pc studio 3.0 with it...but i've tried 3 times now to install it but each time it tells me to 'contact the software vendor for software that has passed windows logo testing'...should i do this or take it back to the phone shop....or could it just be my PC...? can anyone help... x:)

I installed the PC studio but when I go to connection under the file menu and (using USB) I hit connect, but it won't do anything. It just sits there. HELP!

There is one more solution to it, you can download the latest version of Pc studio from samsung site of your country. One thing I want to ask, compose mms is working with your phone or not.

I cannot install PC studio 3.0 on my computer!
When i put the CD into th drive, a message comes up sayin THIS PROGRAM CANNOT RUN and so i cant even get to the setup stage!

PC Studio 3 should work for D807 too. But u could have downloaded the software for free from samsung website:-/. If it's not recognising the phone then u either havent installed the usb driver properly or you have the wrong cable. Read the general guide sticky thread on advice with driver problems.

I'm also having the exact same problem. I have installed both the software and the drivers onto my computer with Windows XP and the phone is not recognized. I have tried everything but can't get it to work. What is the deal!!!! Someone please help.

I have successfully installed samsung pc studio 3 onto my pc.
however, i have run into 2 problems.
the first is that i can get music files onto my d807, but it doesn't play as music on my phone, it just saves as a file and you can't do anything with it.
does anyone know why this is happening?


my next question is that now whenever I try to run pc studio 3, an error message comes up saying this:

Runtime Error!
Program:c/program files/samsung/samsung pc studio 3/launcher.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

I'm having issues with Samsung PC Studio too.

I am trying to uninstall it but when i do it gives me the following error:

Setup has experienced an error.
Please do the following
- Close any running programs
- Empty your temporary folder
- Check your internet connection(Internet-based setups)
Then try again

I believe it is due to the fact that I am running on Windows Vista Business as I have done what the error recommends and I am still having the same problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I have a samsung d900 and the pc studio 3 and my phone works fantastically with this program, however my boyfriend has a P300 and his wont even connect is there a reason for this? Do we have to something different to get it working?

i'm done with Samsung support, it sucks big time. I've also had enough of their buggy and draconian forums. broken links and trouble logging on all the time, and i even had a warning from an admin for posting an external link (a thread on this forum) to help out a user!

I got the Samsung U600 last year, and installed PC Studio on my then windows XP computer. I recently ugraded to windows vista a couple of weeks ago, and now I cant install it. when i put in the disk, the programme will run, but when ive chosen my language, i click on 'Install PC studio', and half way through the installation, a message pops up saying 'this opporating system is not supported. Installation will not continue.'
what do I do? the USB driver installed perfectly, so I plugged in my phone to the computer, and my phone itself had a message, giving me the choice of 'Samsung PC studio', 'Media player', or 'Mass Storage'. I choose PC studio, but nothing happens ( which it didnt in the past, but i would then click on the desktop logo of PC studio, and the programme would run perfectly, that was on windows XP)
is there something im not doind correctly? something to dow ith the fact i recently installed vista?

I am not sure as to which one it is but, from what i have heard, is that the PC Studio was working fine until the problem mentioned in my above writing just accured just like that.
recently we have removed a norton antivirus from the same pc and so it leave us to think whether that has any thing to do with the problem we are having now.
