The comparisons are detailed and fair(In terms of providing shots of the same scene).

Try not to flame in here. (I'm only sharing this article with you).

One of the comparison may look familier. (The K750i and S700i camera comparison) Although the K750i was the prototype version, I can't see it taking worse photos that todays K750i.

Here we go;

Detailed comparison between the S700i's camera and SHARP GX32's camera (http://www.mrspixel.org/Comparisons/S700i_vs_GX32.htm)

Why does the S700i captures such sharp images? (Click here to know more) (http://www.mrspixel.org/Sony%20Ericsson%20S700i/review_S700i.htm)

Comparison between the N70's camera and Nokia 6680's camera (http://www.mrspixel.org/nokia_N70/review_N70.htm)

K750i's camera VS the S700i's camera (Detailed analysis) (http://www.mrspixel.org/sony_ericsson_K750i/review_K750i.htm)

Most importantly enjoy and don't flame anymore

Just to inform you, I'm a sider of none. But I can see that the S700i still takes the sharper shots on average or overall.

The articles were reviewed by digital camera experts so I can be assured that they know what they are doing/saying. Expecially when they had really gone into the details.

N90,

It would be easier for us if you just post the link. (Instead of letting us search the vast site:D )

N90,

Not true man>>>

If you take a look at the comparisons, you will notice that the color reproduction of the S700i photos are better. Including the indoor shots. And it's still sharper seee?

Sorry I can't post any direct links or IMGs now since my com has some problems now(It doesn't allow me to perform any codings now, not even right clicking) (I will need to restart it).

Exciting700, but indoor pics r better on sagem. it is also using CCD sensor as s700i

I disagree with Exciting700. The S700i takes better outdoor photos; My-X8 has darker outdoor photos. But it wins dramatically with the indoor photos. Much sharper and not blurry as of the S700i.

No. My friend does though, I play on it alot. You can tell from the link to the My-X8 review. Much clearer indoor photos indeed.

Blurriness is shaky only, what if Eldar remains steady, who will win? (The S700i has better colors).

Why would Eldar shake it on purposely? I doubt it would make any difference. Why did you have to make it so big...

Cool down mann.

I posted the shots "obviously" because I want people to see it properly and give comments.

Now that you have given your verdict of the whole thing, that's great:up: Now we shall wait for other people's comments.

My comment is. the S700i is STILL a great camphone, the K750i is a bit like "the emporers new clothes" IMO!! anyone who dismisses it and chooses the k750i without serious thought is a fool!! again IMO.

dominicdiep,

Do you seriously think that the X8 captures better shots than the S700i:confused:?

To the pictures that Eldar compares, yes.

I think out of the above pictures the S700i's look better then the X8's.
I guess it boils down to personal taste.

By the way, why are the X8's smaller?
Is'nt that an unfair comparison?

Exciting700

Naim.F.C,

Both cameras have 1.3 mega-pixel camera. I'm sure of that.

Both are also using CCD modules.

seems like the site ex700 supplied doesn't say any good about k750... most of the comparison is won by S700

Exciting700
20-07-2005, 10:24
seth84,

That's because the S700i is still a high end model from SE. SE will be focusing heavily on the camera because it looks like one. (So it needs to be proven like one yet still being a multimedia phone).
Doubtlessly, the camera may have improved over the time.

S700 takes better pics in outdoor.

N90,
screen of sagem myx-8 has 240x320 resolution and its size of nokia s60 phones
S700 has the same resolution.

from what i see, i'd say the score is x8 - S700 5-2 from 7 comparizons. the colors of s700 are exageratly increased, don't reflect the reality (even if it's cloudy, you'll see the pictures as if it was a sunny day), and besides that, they are more blurish (s700). but of course, it's only my opinion. don't take me wrong, i love the SE models, they're my favourites, but in this case i just think the b8 is better. :D

Be that as it may. The Sagem still looks like a T610 manufactured by the Trabant factory.. I don´t care if it has a 8Mpix cam with 10x optical zoom :D

Exciting700

weeezer_20,

Thanks for your feedbacks:)

I like the S700i's camera a lot with all the cyan, bluish, and high color saturations capabilities(S700i seems more proned to those:D ) :D. If I use a digital camera, I'll be missing something;) (Unless I really bother to actually adjust alot of things just to achieve that artistic effect produced by the S700i:D)
(The ability to capture interesting shots like shots being tinted by cyans and saturations is in fact an interesting aspect of photography:D)

Sometimes photographers purposely capture scenes with the wrong settings to create interesting photos.

*ha ha ha*

Nevertheless, you don't need to be a rocket scientest to see which phone takes better than the other and I'm sure Eldar took all his shots in a hurry and everyone who have owned or own a S700i know that you need to be very still to take shots, otherwise it will end up like some of Eldar's shots.

Exciting700
21-07-2005, 13:50
McKinley,

Yes, you got the point!

As S700i is a more dedicated phone to use, you need to be more careful in order to get in those great shots:cool:

SE should have put image stabiliser then

SE should have put image stabiliser then
Even with image stabilizer, it doesn't guerranties you sharp images if you still take improperly.

Such a feature takes up precious space on a mobile phone and also adds to its weight. I prefer a good lens(Glass) or image sensor (Preferbaly CCD). S700i's lens looks to be made of glass.

Currently the image stabilizer feature is only just beginning to emerge in the slim digital camera series.

But what I'm saying is that it does improve shots that are taken in a hurry
