Guys, I've handed in my iPod after 7 or so months because of the battery. It was under warranty, and was an iPod 20GB 4G black and white sreen. They said they will give me a new iPod. Since they don't make my one anymore, and that the price of a 20GB iPod Photo is now cheaper than what I bought my one for 7 months ago, do you think they will replace mine with a new 20GB iPod colour?? Does anyone know??

yeh sort of. so do u think they will give me a refurbished 4g b&w one, cuz i bought it at 499 and now the ipod 20gb colour is 449 so i bought it more expensive

to see how good ur battery is, have a long enough playlist for about 16 hours, turn off the backlight, have it fully charged, turn off equalizer, turn off sound check, turn off repeat and shuffle, put in headphones on medium sound, and see how long it can play for. mine went for 6 hours on a battery supposedly of 12 hour capacity

i was having that problem with the mini, and they ust swapped it bu its wasnt form apple! its hard to tell, but you will probaly get the colour!! or the same one you had before if they have any left in stock!!

Apple dont give anything for free, i very much doubt it if you'll get the colour version, they always keep a surplus supply of 'old' or refurbished stock, the likelyhood is that you'll probably get a new ipod from the 'old' stock or a refurbished ipod.

Do let everyone know what replacement you do get, you never know, Apple may just surprise us all!

i think you'll get the photo iPod but still with the same memory as your present iPod. because that is what they said. replacement model just pay $60 and you'll get it in a week.

well on the replacement authorisation slip the guy wrote does not hold charge, which is tru, and it also takes longer to charge the battery and the click wheel aint responding so wel

battery life is better if you let it run all the way down then all the way up agen regularly
