View Full Version : Samsung D600 Vs New Nokia 6270
Which one to buy?
which one is more reliable?
is it worth to wait for the 6270?
better camera?, dual speakers vs. stereo speakers?
opinions? advices?
Well, considering neither phone is out yet, its hard to answer any of your questions except with pure speculation.

They both look the same in terms of what they can do but Nokia lose as so often, in the superficial department.
Samsung SGH-D600 looks more classy.
seedub,
we can speculate on what they announced so far, right?
the fact that both are to arrive yet, gives the possibility to compare.
if one of them would have been out already... it would have been more difficult.
i might be wrong:)
point is, i need to know on which one to focus attention.
one is due in two months, the other may arrive in winter.....
and, the price announced for the nokia model seems lower
which one would you gus choose?
McKinley, u definitely have some problem with nokia!
adizaha, i would choose 6270! cuz the UI is fresh on this one! closer to S60! desing is better also IMO! it has a metal coated body!! not to forget: samsung's UI sucks! the launch of 6270 is meant to take place in the 4th quarter! which could b anytime between october nad december! hopefully it'll b launched in the early part of the quarter!

It's too hard to compare now:(
As in the case of the V902 with 2MP. Everyone anticipated it but the 2MP turn out not so good:)
As for the speakers, it would also be hard to say, sometimes a phone with single mono speaker can sound better than one with cheap dual speakers(My opinion)(We don't know what company do)
The screen quality is also hard to say, sometimes we have phones with lower resolution screens having better quality than higher resolutions one.
Example screen of Samsung's 128X160s looks better than some Nokia TFT screens with 176X208 res.
How good is the auto focus or macro mode we would also have no idea such as the case with the K750i. The macro mode is too long sighted.
So for the case with the Nokia 6270, we do not know how good is the camera quality(As in the case of the 6230i, the quality was rather poor) It's hard to predict using logic. Don't always judge the phone by the specs because we can never know its quality. Same goes to the Samsung SGH-D600(The review is going to be out this Wednesday according to Eldar.)

I'll vote for the one with autofocus. Not sure which one of the two has it.

textappeal,
both without autofocus

The quality might or may still be better than the K750i's without auto focus.
Unless auto focus really factually sharpened up the images before capture.(Good autofocus)
which one of these should i buy because they both have the same features (2mp camera + zoom, good speakers, good screens etc...) ????
D600 is innovation.
6270 is a direct attempt to fight the competition.
IMO :D

one more thing that I like about D600 is the capability of running word,excel,.. files.
crasher,
so do you mean to say that the 6270 is a copy of the d600 because it looks quite a good phone ?
Exciting700,
u are right, i dindn't thought so deep into the problem.
thank god for you guys to clear things up.
So most people would go for samsung?
which is due next month........
I've heard, and even eldar mentioned it once about some nokia model, that nokia phones are a little unstable.
and i remember that i had only one nokia phone that worked fine: 3210. all the others had problems.
but d600 will be much more expensive right?
at least in the first 4 months or so
the ideea is, that i was really into nokia, right before colour screens appeared. when in my view, samsung overtook nokia.
but now, i see some nice models from nokia, and the specs are almost the same, not to mention better expirience from nokia in bt and other features.
so i would be ready to swich between them again,
but i need to know if it is worth.
I hate to have a phone that gives me trouble. with bt, ird, file transffers and everything else

adizaha,
Eldar's review would be of help to you:)
Just wait for the respective reviews(D600 and the Nokia 6270) then compare your selections:)
However the review of the 6270 might be sometime later since the phone was just announced.
Exciting700,
yup, thanx. i read the review on d600 will be available soon

It was suppost to be out by WED(Today!)
I'm guessing Eldar needs a more consistence tryout of the D600 before he publish it.

Exciting700,
yes, I hardly trying to check some features of D600, they are anounced but still not present even in last firmware...
D600 camera is not so good as K750 or N90, the same as in N70 (not bad but not the best)

6270 looks real cooler than the d600. but they have comparable features. so, for me, id get the 6270 than the egg-like d600. haha.

I think everybody has a different opinion about the design/ style. I loveeee the egg-like D600. And others like the quadrangle 6270... :2jump:
I vote for anything not Samsung
*Sorry ilprincipe* ;)
Hello
I heard that for Nokia phones (with symbian) there are lots of software (MSN-Messenger, Converters etc etc) to download in the web. Are there also lots of software for samsungs (for example for the d600)??

Maybach,
D600 is a standard phone whereas you are talking about Nokia smartphones !
it's possible in samsung D720.
