Hey, I've decided to get rid of my Nokia 6260, having simply grown bored of it, size and all...

Any recommendations? I'm thinking about some non-smartphone, I really don't need ANY of the functions they have compared to "normal" phones. Small size and good screen (not necessarily big, just good!) are important.

And preferably only Nokias, I can't stand SE. :spy:

Then your either going to get a 6230i because that's the only nokia that fits your needs. You could go for a D500. Or you could over come your hate and get the best non-3G phone and non-smartphone, the K750.

Hm, the K750 has a worse screen than 6230i. I'm not completely ruling out SE as a brand, it's just that I've never liked their models, they feel too complicated and often buggy than Nokia.

But it seems like the 6230i would be my choice, seeing as a good display and design are two of my main priorities.

What advantages does the K750 have over the Nokia? I can't see any. :/

Wait for the Nokia 6270 if you can, it's the best non smartphone I can hear of today.
2.0 MP camera and dual stereo speakers etc...

It looks really good... but I wonder what the price will be? If it's anything in the range I suspect, I'd rather buy the 6230i. :p

Firstly, SE updates their UI every generation (T68i -> T610i -> K700i -> K750i) and improve on both the design, animation and also performance (SE phones has been getting faster since). Nokia's S40 on the other hand is either getting slower or stays the same as previous generation but gets faster.

K750i is the only non-smartphone and 3g phone of its size supporting 2 megapixels and autofocus.

K750i offers USB update of firmwares. As for their models being too complicated, it's just what you think of it. Have you actually tried learning their software? So just because you're used to one interface means all other interface is bad? Think about it. It's like telling a monkey to eat with utensils. To them, their hands are more userfriendly.

I am not telling you taht K750i is the way to go, but just telling you that you should be more open with what the world outside Nokia has to offer.

dxreaper,

I have to agree...There is a profound logic behind your speech (It may not be something that you intended to say), (rather something that triggers me as I read it).

I don't find it worth learning to use use an interface that doesn't offer anything else than an easier variation. I admit that the last SE I dabbled with was an older model, the K500 or K300 (they look the same!), but it was plain terrible too.
Perhaps the new one is better, but it still doesn't have much over the 6230i except apparently the camera.

Actually the screen of the K750i is way higher in quality and the camera is also much better. The interface is also more graphical and it's very fast too.
Not to be bias, but this are facts and they have been proven.

It's not better. The Nokia has better resolution.

Cinos,

Resolution not necessarily means quality. I have see screens with 128X160 resolutions having better quality than one with 176X208 resolutions.

I guess I'll have to see them in real life then, because the Nokia screen looks better on pictures. Hm.

I personally find the K750i screen looks better in photos.
