And when does Apple release a new iPod?

there might be slight updates in the ipod. i have heard that they will put some of the mini colours on the larger models. Apple have already stated themselves that a new ipod will not be any time soon.

when did they say this and what did they say.. got a link or anythin?

thought is it might be july sometime when apple have some kinda convention thing they might use to launch it.. (at the same time as iTunes 5.0?) also the fact that they added video support to itunes suggests they may have plans to add it to the next ipod?
but then people thought it might launch on the 6th of june (some other apple thing) and they didn't.. its about time [since the 1st gen photos] that they normally update it.. just weather they count the 30gb as updating it enough?

gapless playback is all i really want, (crossfader would be nice) other than that i am pretty happy w/ the current ipods.. but hopefully there will be better bat life, cheaper per gb, maybe video, etc etc.. i dont see them going coloured 'a-la' ipod mini.

i am unsure weather to get a 30gb photo or to wait it out.. if it had gapless playback i would probably get it now, cuz even if a new one had video, i could live without it in all honesty.

edit: also note that the ipod photo has come down in price not so long ago when they switched form 40>30gb and ditched most of the accessories

i finally gave my old 20gb iPod to my stepsister and i'll get my 30gb photo by tuesday. haha.

I amy be wrong but is'nt the new 20gb ipod photo only £209 and replaces the old 4th gen 20gb along with a 60gb.

they should put a dock in it seriously.

also, i think that any ipod can fit into a normal ipod dock, so long as that u put a thick enuf dock case on it. eg. the 20gb case for the dock allows u to fit an ipod mini
