I hear you all saying the K750i is way better but...........
Which is smaller?
How much memory does 750i have
How much is the extra memory?
The d500 is still sounding good at the moment
D500 smaller when closed. K750i has 38MB built in memory with a 64MB memory stick pro duo card. You can get a 512MB card for around £40 if you shop around, 1GB for £70-80, and the cheapest I've seen for a 2GB card is £180.
The only thing D500 has going for it is the screen to be honest. Well, in my opinion anyway. I haven't included design because that's purely subjective.

If you think so, by all means buy one! Don´t let others dictate what you should buy.
However if you ask in a forum what the "best" phone is, the D500 or K750, you´re bound to get recommendations for the newest hottest one.
Yeah, and the K750 is cheaper than D500

I can honestly say that you can go at get yourself a K750 over the D500 now...Apart from the design (which is subjective,just like Memzee said) it is definitely a "better" phone than the D500...(because it simply is newer,the D500 has been around for about 6 months already)...
Nevertheless,this does not mean that the D500 is a bad phone,not at all...It actually is a great phone IMO,but features wise the K750 is better...
I would suggest that you go and have a look for yourself,trxy them both in your local shop and decide what suits you best...Price might also be an issue,so it is really up to you... ;)

I get a free upgrade so not an issue of price. The fact that the d500 has a bigger initial memory and is smaller still appeals

The D500 isn't really that small, it's 93.5 x 45.7 x 23.5, the K750i is 100 x 46 x 20.5, when held together the D500 feels bigger as it is thicker all over, the K750i is mainly 17mm thick, except for where the camera bulges where it goes to 23.5mm and because of that feels much smaller.
The screen is basically the same on them both. The K750i comes with 34+64MB (98MB) in the box, and is easy to upgrade, the D500 is stuck with it's 96MB. The K750i comes with a good quality headset, and the speakerphone is clearer with a fuller sound than the D500, you also get an FM radio with RDS. The K750i camera is much better, with better colours, much more detail and a better lens. The video is unlimited with the K750i.
The K750i has better bluetooth, better gaming and a better file system, it comes with a USB cable to connect to a PC.
The only reason to get a D500 really is the form factor.
