lots of people over at av forums are reporting that after two weeks of normal use, the 4 way buttons are showing cracks.

hmmmmm. I don't like the look but sony is a very reputable company and i have heard that the build quality is very solid.

The NW-HD3 was a far better looking machine. The NW-HD5 is a backward step in terms of design.
