Canon digital IXUS 50 VS the Canon digital IXUS 700i?

I know that one camera is having 7.1 MP and the other 5.0 MP, however this is not the case I'm interested in because I already know the fact!

However what I'm interested in is, how does the quality of the image compare and how good is the hardware in both cameras?

Users of either one of the IXUS series, feel free to give your point of view!

A friend of mine who is a photograph has used them both and he said the Ixus 50 is slightly better in all conditions plus it's smaller than the Ixus 700.
Pictures are more noisy with the Ixus 700 when you take shots during nights or not so well litted conditions.
I own an Ixus 50 and I can tell you it won't let you down.

I know your canon is much lighter and more stylish, but the Samsung machines offer high VFM!! :beer:

I don't think you can get anything wrong with any of these cameras...I'm thinkin of getting a new one too,either the Sony W17 or the Ixus 700...
