I Pod Mini OR Zen Micro - 4GB??? Ur Choice

liamss, u need to look for the features too as zen gives you FM tuner, Voice recorder, FM to Mp3 recording..iPod doesnt have any! :-(

I wouldnt use Radio, or voice recording, i have them on my phone!! I just think that the Ipod mini, looks great and it did everyting i wanted it to do! except the boor battey but that has been improved in the new one, even though i got rid of mie ages ago!
But i choose something in looks and then specs, so that why id never get the ZEN. ;)

nah!! but if it looks good and has the right specs! then i would get it! like i wouldnt get the Ipod shuffle, if it was 20gb and 100quid! like i wouldnt get the zen if it was 20gb!! becuae youve gotta like the looks, otherwise youd be gutted if you bought something you didnt like the look of!!! ;)

had the same dilemma, zen micro over iPod mini

zen is a plastic thing, looks very cheap to me, the aluminum casing of iPod mini is just a blast, and now that in the 2nd gen (u said its 4GB, which includes 2nd gen) the click wheel has the icons in the same colour as the casing :cool:

i pod is the first and the one, the legend, u know, its like buying, i dont know, some fake :) haha, maybe too harsh, but its class, you know, apple :love:

feature wise, had an mp3 flash player for a year, had it all, mp3, wma playback, voice recording, FM tuner, NEVER used anything apart from music reproduction and mass storage feature and iPod offers both, i even heard that the mass stoarage function on Zen is somehow cumbersome when compared to iPod, that with zen part of the filesystem gets formated for data and part for music (like iPod Shuffle?) :eyes:

ultimately, its what you like best, im a lieberal person, so am glad you like your Zen Micro, i love my iPod Mini :love:

i made an extensive research and had a look at both (personally, physically, IRL) and i just hated Zen Micro, even it was winning feature wise, and loved iPod, i have iPod personally, so i did look at them, trust me

Also its pointless saying its not attractive/ or attractive because everbody has their own tasta and thus its something that cant be proven

this is a poll, right? so the POINT of the poll is, to say what YOU personally like and should we want to make it a usefull poll, we tell WHY we personally like/dislike something, and since we are all intelligent people posting and reading here (yeah, i wish) we can either let the opinion tip the scales of our decision, or not :p

Neither, dump both, and go for iRiver H10 in the microdrive arena, still if its between these two, Creative Micro then.

You have to check out the look & feel yourself of the iRiver H10, so small, really decent looking.

i prefer MY white 5gb zen micro because of design AND features.
designwise:
the casing is not CHEAP, although it is not aluminium but high quality plastic and looks really appealing. also the blue lightning around is soo sweet.
the keypad is really good, but the clickwheel would also win my mind...

featurewise:
the zen micro comes with much more stuff in the package than the ipod mini.
mine shipped with a pouch, a beltholder and a stand, a charger and as a limited extra an additional battery [as a side blow to the not exchangeable ipod battery]...
the radio and the audio recorder are very useful.
with the new MTP firmware you can use the player with WMP10 without any additional drivers on any computer with WMP10 installed...
the earphones are at same quality level like the ones from ipod mini - some find them good, some find them very crappy. i replaced mine with decent sony earphones...

my zen micro was about 30 ?uro cheaper than the 4gb version[!] ipod mini when i bought it...
