I am looking for a portable device which can be used to record stereo quailiy sound on the road, which means it should be small and have long battery life.
Do I have to go for an MD recorder, or would an MP3 recorder do the job as well? Definitely would prefer an MP3 player/recorder which takes an external stereo mic and preferable has a lot of other faetures like an adress book and a foto viewer.
Is there any product out which fulfills my requirements?
grateful for any suggestion,
kuuan

kuuan,
you might want to look at iRiver's H3xx range...

Check them out at www.iriver.com and for more information and a forum, this certainly is one of the best pages concerning iRiver....

How do the new iRiver H3xx range compare to the older h1xx range? I don't like the look of the new players.

Seanjuan,
yes,me neither... :(

For a good comparison have a look at the forum @ www.misticriver.net

Basically the H3xx range is a big update of the already great H1xx...

Colour screen (watch pics and movies->US-version doesn't support videos),record straight from the radio,etc...

Downturns (compared to H1xx),up until now no recording in .wav, only in .mp3 format...No optical line-in (I think) ...
