wow.... is apple killing the 4G iPod?

well, ive been hearing rumors about the 5G iPod coming this summer for a while now, but just the other day i checked the apple site out of curiosity, and what do i see?

iPod photo is down $150 from 500 and 600 to 350 and 450.

4G iPod is now no longer available in 40GB.

whats up?

is apple planning to come out with the 5G iPod soon (40 and 80GB for $400 and 500, perhaps??)

or is the 40GB just not succesful enough?

what do you think?

apple has said nothing about the 5g ipod but there ha been rumours. It would almost certainly play video and would have bluetooth headphones but dont expect to see it until at least early 2006 as there is still a big market for the 4g ipod.
