My sony hw-hw3 ha s now broken, well it freezes when i turn it on, and its gets stuck on the Start screen with the logo and "walkman"
My 3rd mp3, i was thinking about going back to the ipod 20gb!!

has anybody else had this problem??? :confused:

(everything i have breaks my k700i and my ipod mini :confused: )

cant you reset it? i think theres a hole somewhere for a papercilp and the battery off button?

i dont see one, i just got over the 1,000 song mark aswell, arr everytime!! ive only had in since jan!!

It wasnt broken before I d imagine. So Liamss will expect it to work and play music??? and not crash??

it wastn broke when i bought it!! and it wasnt broke when ive een listening to it for the last 3 monthS!!

There is no software reset button on the NW HD3. Assuming you must have owned the player for less than 12 months it should still be under manufacturer's gaurantee so I suggest you ask for a replacement.

I take it you have not accidentaly put the player in "hold" mode?? If you have you can't get past the screen with the logo. Hold button is on the bottom of the player.

no, it says hold on the screen when you try to press a button,
Karim i dont want you to un-break it??? but i was just wondering if any body else has had this problem!!!!!

liamss, switch the hold switch off. its at the top of the player.

ive had mine 2 week and the same problem dude, i bought it from where i work comet , guna take it back in and get it replaced 2mo . it was working fine then turn it on and just gives walkman logo then turns off after afew sec. gay tbh. considering taking out extended warrenty, you are covered for 12 month with sony tho dude. so u sud be able to get it replaced altho i know u wont want to loose ur music. Guna get our service guy to take alook at mine 2mo. ill let ya know if there is a fix.

its alrite now! i took it back to argos and i swapped it for the ipod 20gb thanks anyway mate!!! ;)

hey.. i have this exact problem.
my player is out of warranty. could someone please tell me if theres a fix before i pay to get it fixed by sony.

any help would be appreciated!!

and what about me? i am out of warranty and whenever i try to start my nw-hd3 it just gives a beep in this algorythm( srry for my bad english ) "-- -- --"
so mine doesn't start with the same symptoms

This post is more suited at this point, agree with Treacle it is quite old now maybe its time to replace it
