does anyone think it would be a good idea for me to upgrade my 20gb 4g ipod to the 30gb ipod photo? if anyone has the ipod photo can u give me some feedback on it.
thanx
An iPod photo is an absolute waste of money. I mean c'mon, is it really necessary to bring your pictures with you? The screen isnt even that great. Get your 20 gig iPod and wait for the iPod that can support video. Not unless theres something wrong with the iPod you have now which apple wont fix for you.

nah nothing wrong really, just physically, like the silver back is scratched quite a bit and the click wheel has a bit of engravement on it from wrapping my headphones around the ipod and the earpiece kept rubbing against it.
btw, has anyone noticed how (not fragile, but easily damagable) the ipods are. the white gets scratched easily, the back gets fingerprints and scratches the minute u put it somewhere, and mini ipods get chips in it everywhere!

Zozo7610, I used to have a 3G ipod before. I think it was quite durable to skretch. About the fingerprints, i must agree with you. The feeling I had when I got the ipod before, it was like SE T610. Fingerprint was something which bothered me alot. Well, the new N10 I bought yesterday also has such problems. Why don't you get iriver H10? It shares more features than ipod, and the sound quality is hardware-wise better than ipod 4G's (lossless vorbis OGG). Or else, I think that olumpus robo is waiting for you:) I am not sure about the olympus' sound quality. Olympus is quite new to mp3 industry. If you are not a hardcore apple fan, there are plenty mp3's out there to satisfy.
the 30 GB photo ipod is my dream mp3 player/photo album. I love the color LCD screen, it looks great! I?ve had it for a month now, and at first I thought since it was bigger than the mini, it?d be to big to carry. But the slim design made it an easy fit for my pocket whenever I go to the gym. I use it mostly for music and I have plenty of room for all my songs that can run forever on the long battery life. Plus, it?s real easy to enter and scroll through the few photos I have. Besides the initial problem of figuring out how to wake it from ?sleep? mode, the main problem is the EXCESSIVE price. If I wasn?t able to get it for $40, I wouldn?t have been able to get it. If you want to find out how you can get it for $40 as well, just email me at chinolany@hotmail.com.
