Actually all of his Magik mixes are great... I'm holding Magix Six as one of my favorites though... I also like his latest and 'in my memory'...

Althow that the last singles from Van Helden were also more commercial...
Listening to Paul Van Dyk - For an angel right now :D
It's soooooooooooooooooo good :)
Yeh Paul Van Dyk is good, Johan Gielen, John Digweed, Jeff Mills, CJ Stone, Future Breeze, DJ Taucher, Scooter, Seb Fontaine, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Tall Paul(This guy is popular in Dubai), DJ Alligator is also very popular in Dubai, DJ Rush.... I watch Darren Clarke and Bob Sinclair all the time at my local club in Brussels... Of course after attending Zillion which used to be the biggest club in Europe before they closed such a shame...
Spoony, Timmi Magic, Mikee B, EZ, Hype, Marky, J Majik, Bryan G, and Andy C.
But you probably haven't heard of them... unless you're into (Old Skool) Garage/DnB.

So you basicly don't like Dancing but prefer to wave your arms to HipHop and Rappers with quite explicit language...

DUNGA
i also think techno is http://www.avforums.com/forums/images/smilies/censored.gif. its just background music. its fine to play when one is getting ready to meet up with one's friends for drinks down the pub.............but anything more than that, i don't think so . i also think 99% of rap and hiphip is too (great groove, but just can't warm to the lyrics).
I like DnB and some Garage (Mostly old)... but I don't really think much of any other form of electronic music.

Most people feel that way, but I will never understand why... Techno is a music of art and peace, and there are many excellent DJ's in the world.. The most popular and biggest clubs play Techno music...
I can find you rappers on the streets next to a desert in the middle east who can rap like Snoop dogg and stuff... Its not something I would pay for, especially for such aggressive music..
But even when I look at tecno/hard core from the perspective of composing/producing, I can't say that I'm blown away at all. Not saying that hip hop/rap is, but at least you (sometimes) have intelligent plays on words, or whatever, that make you (me) smile.

i like some trance such as by brain eno and boards of canada................but its not really a genre that i explore much these days.
i like some hiphop when its 'watered down' a lot....like in some acid jazz.
BrightSpark, try some UK Hiphop - Ty & The Nextmen are both good. (Ty is a member of The Nextmen).

i haven't heard of either. i tend to explore more from independent artists. there's a vast array of really talented but little known artists in that sector.
ok, but i will check them out. and i will let you know my thoughts. i keep an open mind.
They're quite unknown... but one of the members, Rodney P, is quite famous in his own right.

i saw jeff mills in sydney a while back and he was amazing, he just kept building it up and didnt drop it he took it to another level, gotta love detroit techno
....yeah -- i agree, people are basically getting sick of the same old rock/hip-hop/r&b bullsh*t..... and there is just this big upsurge from a new style coming out of Europe -- best place i've found it so far is a compilation series called 'euro club hits' on itunes -- or check this link:
well thank you spammer for bringing up this 3 year old topic! :D

I'm crazy over the Essential Mix at the moment, they had this Introducing tour a few weeks back were they were introducing new DJ's
There was a Mash-Up duo named Jaymo & Andy George and they were bloody awesome. they were being introduced by Kissy Sellout who sucked big time compared to these guys
Completely different genre but a week before there was a dude named Barry Connell who mixed a decent set, I think it was Trance but I haven't listened to much in my lifetime. It was unfortunate to hear that he died a few days after it was broadcast :( he was introduced by Judge jules who IMO opinion mixed a slightly better set.
I am a huge fan of the old 90s stuff (House all the way to Techno), and especially Paul Oakenfold/Perfecto

Armin Van Buuren? Shocking but I have never listened to anything from him :D
really?!! well he did receive the worlds #1 DJ Title this year. I think its worth trying it out! Listen to one of his radio shows, "A state of Trance", its his weekly broadcast and its at number 351 now ( i think its been going on for 7 years). I like the episode 346 a lot. His new album (Imagine) is pretty awesome too. But nothing beats his live sets.
armin van buuren
tiesto
and paul van dyk
though junkie xl is ringing around bit too

So many great DJs, hard to name all. During last month I think I've listened to John '00' Fleming's sets most, all because a smashing set he played at a party couple weeks ago.

Jhon Acquaviva , Benny Bennasi , DaftPunk
Daft Punk!! :jump: Was fan of them before, but after seeing them live i really havent gotten enough of their music.

I like Armin van Buuren most, i think. But i like a lot of other dj's allso.
I think Tiesto is doing bad now. First it was a really good dj for shure, but i don't like his new songs like "In the dark". Thouh i think "Elements of life" was pretty amazing :D
**^ramintop^**
07-09-2008, 22:27
domipost, did you listen to the whole album? i didnt like them all too, but "do you feel me", "everything" & "break my fall" are pretty amazing imo. also "element of life" is great.

**^ramintop^** No, i was talking about the song "elements of life", not the album. I did like "Break my fall" but not that much. Pretty average track, i think.

Last weekend Tiesto just rocked! :super: Big warehouse full of people and one of the best gigs I've been. Tiesto played a great remix of "He's a Pirate" that I just can't find anywhere... :-/ Here's a pic from that gig. Cosmic Gate and Schulz were great too btw.
