View Full Version : HP hx4700 and Sony-Ericsson K700i: anybody who got this combination working?

I have been trying for quite a while now to connect my HP hx4700 to the internet using Bluetooth and GPRS.

Other BT services (business card exchange, browsing of phone folders, etc.) all work.

The PDA and phone establish a BT connection but then the phone never dials. It appears that the Bluetooth Dial-uP Networking profile is broken, since with exactly the same dial and login settings connecting via infrared works but not via Bluetooth.

Any other experience? Anybody who got this combination working?

You have to do something special with the dialup settings. It depends on the
settings you need in your country. Search the web and you will find that you
have to add a "h" in the dialup string. I d not know the exact line, but search
for it and you will find it.

Help ....i have tried everything to get my hx4700 ipaq to bluetooth my k700i sony erricsson and use the gprs network( vodafone) but it does not want to know.I can bluetooth send and receive files from the phone so that side works. used the same phone and settings on my last ipaq 5455 all worked fine. but not now.
I have tried all different dial string and all that with a z without ect.
anybody out there got a answer ..

as far as i know you have to download the phone feature lik eon the xda2 s i my fried did it and i can connect my rx3715 to my v3 b4 that it didnt work

Finally got my hx4700 ipaq working via bluetooth on my k700i via the gprs network after being on the phone with vodafone techical support from 17-30 to 20-30 . They are a good support desk hats off to them.

It was the bloody dial string after trying every thing with the dial strings all that was needed was z; thats all now works fine.

if you are having the same problem then then try this dial string.

Are you able to get it working over GSM? my Hx4700 worked fine with the T630 however although I can pair it with the K700i when the PDA dials if is not sending the command to the K700i

I was looking for help about the same problem: connection working between HP 2215 and K700i but NOT gprs.... (In Sweden, Telia)
I added the "z" in the dialup string, and there it was: WORKING.
