Which will win in terms of image clarity, sharpness, colors, smoothness, fineness etc...?

Which will win in terms of image clarity, sharpness, colors, smoothness, fineness etc...?if forced to make a strict decision between the two i would go nikon, because of its greater resolution both are well built , equally specced, both have respected optics and pedigrees. but just to mix things up a bit i would take a fuji f700 for £50 less beats them both in most areas!! :)

mweb6161,
Whoops! Can you confirm that it's CGsilicon TFT?
Because if it's true, I might consider it if the price is good;)
Btw thanks for telling me ps the 134,000 pixel density in a 1.8" screen is just facinating!

i bought a fuji s20 pro this week for £300 , peanuts for a cam that has a spec better than most DSLRs so i am a bit biased :D

why not just get fuji 810?

mweb6161, if you are contented with s20 pro, congratulations!!! But just worried about the defect of s20 pro. It has a smear defect when taking luminous object with fast shutter speed. s20 pro would have been competible with DSLR if they bigger cmos. Most DSLRs have as advanced sensors as HAD.

I see your point, spec of s20 is much better than 810 all round. and i dont expect perfection for £300. i only print up to A4 so DSLR waste of money for me. truth be told if i could afford Nikon d70 i would get one but i cant. i agree with you for prints ABOVE A4 a DSLR is a must. ;)

mweb6161, yeah, for A4, s20 pro would be amuch better choice:)
