The Stand-by time does not seem to match the advertised.
With no use (Only sitting in Standby mode) in a strong signal area my phone needs recharging every 4 days.

The Ringing (tone) Volume is too easy to turn off by accidently catching the wrong key on the key pad and leave with only Vibrate working. Not much good if the phone is not on your body.

The support from LG is very poor you can wait days for a reply and following issues up is a nightmare.

I have been waiting over 2 weeks now to hear about a replacement Battery and to be given a reference number that proves a problem was reported to LG within days of the purchase.

Accessories are almost impossible to obtain.
Data transfer cables seem not to exist. Polyphonic ring tones are not advertised as compatible and the LG web site http://uk.wowlg.com/uk/index.jsp carries no sport related ring tones and very few others.

Overall the phone looks good but does not seem to come up with the goods or the support you would expect!

I love this phone, got it yesterday, its a good solid little phone, there are smaller out there on the market but for the price this phone is great.
They have a good support site in my opinion, where you can download ringtones, pictures and games. They also provide the software for this phone so all you need is the data cable.
You can see clearly who is calling on the front screen and assign a colour to a group so if you have someone in that group, you can see clearly who's calling without being near the phone just by the colour thats flashing, plus you can have different ring tones for different groups.
The sound quality is really good and the screen very sharp and clear, I am very impressed with this phone, I knew what I was buying when I got it and nothing has dissapointed me about this phone.

Thank you for the tip about Ebay when I looked on Ebay there was no Data suite and as it states this is a new product. So thanks again

I agree with you that it is a smart looking phone but if the functionality (in my case the Standby time and the fact that you can easily (accidentally catching the vibrate key) switch of the ringing and leave the vibrate only function running) is compromising the whole issue then you have a problem.

I am still having problems with LG electronics re support for the fact that the Standbye Battery life is not what is advertised. To be fair to them since I spoke to the General Managers, P.A. things have moved a lot faster and today (1 month after I purchased the phone and raised the issues) I am expecting to see a solution. Lets hope it works!!!!!

The Web site for LG is quite Basic but it does have a selection of Ringtones etc. The selection is quite restricted and if you want to use other suppliers of Ringtones etc it is difficult to find suppliers providing compatible features for the G5400. Maybe this is because it is a new model.
If you post a query on their web site you can wait days/weeks for an answer :confused:

THATS WHAT IT SAYS ON EBAY, THEY WERE THERE WHEN I POSTED MY MESSAGE AND STILL THERE ARE SOME ON EBAY... :2jump:

there are much newer phones out than the 5400 and ebay have the software for them to.

When I first got the phone (Early September) there was no Data suites on EBAY. I DID search!!! Thats why I thanked you for the tip that they are now being sold on Ebay. I had not bothered to search again until you said they existed.
I know they are there now and they all state that they are new products!
I now have a new Battery (From LG) and we are testing the Standby life with this new one. Lets hope it cures the Battery life problem?

I do love this phone but I want a phone with a camera, as I do miss my camera phone (7250i).
But I am hoping I can get a small lg camera phone, I do like the lg's... I've been looking at the lg 2200 looks like its going to be exclusive to tmobile though...maybe I can get one unlocked...here's hoping :2jump:
