View Full Version : Becoming a moderator
Eldar,
How does one become a moderator in a forum. I've got a lot of information from this forum and I would like to give something back. I'll be able to regularly visit the forum as I have holidays now for 3 months. And I am fluent in English.
Thanks,
rao_88
And I fluent in English.
Yes, you really are the Charles Dickens of our time. ;)

I guess, at the moment it's better to be fluent in french. :rotate:

That was a typographical error. Do you doubt my fluency? Would you care to visit the website of the International Library of Poetry and check my poem that was published in one of their collections? Would you mind looking at my other posts which, apart from slang like "ain't" (which, by the way, is making its way into the English language), are all written in the Queen's English? Did I forget to mention the fact that I am the editor of my school's annual magazine and weekly newspaper?
Unfortunately I am not perfect, whereas you obviously are. I'm sorry I cannot compete with your high standards. Please excuse me.
In case you didn't get that, that's sarcasm.
Hmmm you don't need to be a mod to give something back do you. You just post it like everyone else.
Thanks for informing that "ain't" is making it's way into the English language. According to my dictionary it's already made it.
Don't give up the editor's job. You never know the Daily Mirror might offer you the gig.
Dude chill out, I am not born yesterday.

As far as I know, the Admin. Team will make it clear when there is a need for new Moderator(s) with a sticky post in each section - just as they did last time.

His English might be alright, but a moderator does need self control, and we clearly don't see that here. Always watch out when I am teasing!
It can also be a trick.
OK, I never said that I might be moderator-material. I'm just proving that I am fluent in English. I just said that I would like to help out if I could. If I'm not needed, then there's no problem at all.

Ok, rao_88, i can see u are very fluent in English, besides tat, moderators need a lot of knowledges on particular fields, if u really wan to give sumthing back, just post it.
It doesnt really need a perfect english to help, it needs a plain english for other ppl to understand. Other ppl might dun have the same english level as urs.
