WOW!!! Sweet! I hope this or something similar will be announced in other markets soon as well. Hmm.. maybe the N80 has a touch screen after all?? Bagder, Moby, Karim etc., any word on that?
 Btw, the pic with the headphones seems to have a regular headphone plug.. wonder if its 2.5 or 3.5mm.. |

Said it once, as have others, no touchscreen on N80.
And to kick a few other speculations into touch......it's not substantially different to previous siblings. Newer version of S60 yes, but so have certain others. Added connectivity features, yes, but so have others. OK new form factor in this class (apart from 7650 which was a fantastic phone) and OK enhancement of other imaging-related features but nothing terribly radical. The handset will certainly be a class leader but let's not carried away. |

Eomer, ok, thanks, had not seen that posting from you. 3mp cam and wifi in a slider form should be enough for most people in any case.
I personally haven't even liked using touch screens so far. Anyway, its nice to see the first touch screen S60 phone out for those folks that do like that function. I would imagine something similar would be announced (not released/shipping) for other markets 1H06. |

Viipottaja, S60 v3 doesn't allow touch screen.... In the future, yes, they'll have but not right now. Maybe end of 2006/begin07.
I say this based in the Symbian documents regarding the S60 v3, that are on their site. |

a2k24, This is not s60.
I am not aware of the devices for the chinese market. They have always been keen on touch screen - look at the 6108 that was also stylus based. Its easier with there character sets. Devices like this will not appear in europe, no UIQ for europe. Not until s60 & s90 merge will touch screen appear in s60 devices - this will be either via a feature pack (s60v3fp1 etc) or in s60v4. It is a good indication of the type of touch screen device nokia will launch. |

I saw this phone already on the shelf but so expensive around USD$745, nobody bother to look at it maybe they do not know it has touchscreen or just simply lost interest to ugly phone with high price tag.

Nokia did say that S60 would eventually support it (when they announced the merging of S90 to S60).
