How I think the N Slider can be - Pic Inside!

Don't take me wrong.
This is not new spypics or new pics at all.
I just took the slide that slipped in the NSeries presentation, I just imagine what the rest of the phone would be... What do you think about the result?

You have perspectives wrong but it looks a bit like a mix of the 6280/6270/6111

I think you should change the subject line of your thread to "my wet dream of what the slider S60 could look like.." lol..

But yeah, I guess it would look something like that.

Vein, it's not easy to give round perspectives. The result about it beeing a mix between the models you just mentioned, that's because that may be the new "line" for nokia..

Viipottaja, i won't even comment to that

alexandr3's representation looks very good. Could easily be a killer phone, just needs the right specifications, and I don't think it will disappoint.

Just have to wait and see.....

Its not real, because its alexandr3's representation of a nokia phone. My suggestion was the colour, to make it look more believeable. You will have to wait for an official annoucement for anything further.

I didn't say that either The spec will blow away anything that you have seen before.

rohit, this is not about beeing true or fake...

This is only my view about what the phone in this slide

could be. Got it?
I'm not trying to fool anyone, or trying to say tht I know something that you don't.
Why is this so confusing?
It makes me think people don't read the posts only see the pics.

It is partially because they simply read the subject line of the thread, not all the posts in it. That's why it is good to be accurate in the name of the thread. "N Slider? Pic Inside!" can easily be read to mean you are asking people if they think is the N Slider, right?

I am just saying that some people don't bother to read every posting in a thread, or even the first posting. But one can make the message a bit clearer by choosing a good subject line too. That's all.

Speculative guess at N-series slider features:
Same display resolution as N90
WiFi
HDD
3.2MP cam

Prob wrong since it looks like Nokia try and position N-series models with specific user-group in mind.
N90 - imaging
N70 - business
N91- music
Would be happy to leave out HDD and swap for mini-SD.
For sure there will also be N-series with QWERTY at some point.
For sure there also be N-series with touch screen as series 60 & series 90 merge.

weel I guess my title means: N Slider? (because this slide make everybody think so; and there's a pic inside. It's nthing that I created from scratch, is simply a continuing draw of the bottom of the phone we all saw) so what should be the title of the post? Ireally cannot understand these reactions..

Chlettn,

Well a number of manufacturers are going down the HDD path.
But as solid state memory capacity increases maybe HDD is not the optimum solution for mobile devices.

well I know that Nokia & Samsung announced HDD phones and probably SE is going to...but in terms of energy consumption, access speed and shock resistance solid state memory is better by far...
I think that the N91 might be quite slow...imagine you have to put a prog on the HDD (and with just 30MB internal memory you will have to), it will take quite long (a sec. or so?) until the program is found on the HDD, and then will have to be copied into the RAM and executed; it might slow down everything considerably;

Alexandr3, read all my postings in this thread , I've suggested a more descriptive subject line.. Well, ok, perhaps you would a bit to it: "My wet dream of what the slider S60 could look like based on the slide that Nokia showed some time back"

Anyway, as I also said, it is likely that your drawing is not that far off the mark of what we may see come out. Goob job.

Chlettn, I would think _most people_ can fit their programs (and certainly the ones they use on a daily basis) in the 30MB on N91 and would use HDD mostly for music, picture and video files where a second or so lag is not a major concern.

alexandr3 ,
Hey, i think you took it all wrong. I appreciated that someone actually went up wit the idea of trying to come up wit 7650-nex wit that pic. I think i forgot to say good job. i really liked what you tried to do.

But in the end, it jus happened to look fake. so my last comment. anyways, GJ again!

rohit, i just tried to expand the slide of the "symbian slider" (since N Slider seems to offend some people). Nothing more.
I didn't tried to fool anyone or show off my design skills. It was just for us to discuss what it could be.
It's not the next 7650 or any other nokia. It's ONLY what I think the phone in that specific slide may be.
In the case of Nokia doing it. Ok?

What do you guys make of this?

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=re...u2KcT2YK6hwO4L

Check out page 14...

Could this be what Michael at Mobile Burn is talking about? A number of new devices that incorporate VoIP and WLAN? What about the device that is shown, kinda looks like the rummored "N Slider"

Thoughts?

Screwing around with google site search. I can't find a date anywhere on the doc, tho. I'm wondering when this presentation was given -?-

From what I understand, the processors used by current Nokia's can't handle a program like Skype. So, the specs badger is speaking of must include a new processor. This is going to be an intersting month...

BTW, alexandr3, I like your rendition of the N Slider. People just misunderstand its purpose.

EDIT: This would explain the Nokia/Cisco rumors... A merger/acquisition/strategic partnership to enable advancements in VoWiFi and SCCP Enabled devices. I bet the "major news" is some sort of an alliance between Nokia and Cisco, and of course, demonstrating the devices
