WAP and SMS in School

Me an a friend are writing a report about
Ways to use WAP and SMS as a complement to
traditional education.

Anyone who knows about schools that uses
WAP and SMS?

Do you have any ideas about what WAP and SMS
can be used for in school?

fones r totally banned at my school but everyone still brings them coz the teachers dont really care as long as we arent talking on it during classwork or sumthing like that...

i dont c how wap or SMS could be a complement 2 old school education,sorry...

SMS is greatly used during exam, the type of the exam must be multiple choices, then... you know it :) :)
If you have 7650 or 3650 , u can take the pic of your paper and then send through bluetooth (In this case, your friends should be in 10 metres around you) :2jump:
And there are still many ways to cheat in exam using that damn cursed cell phone :p :p
about wap... maybe you can used it to browse something when the boring teacher is bla bla bla...ing in front of the class :2jump: :2jump:

I hope you can write a hilarious report for your teacher :beer: :beer:

Some years ago, it was very easy to cheat with SMS in France....
But it had gone too far and the teachers really care now so it's very hard....

Same for MMS...

Anyway, except cheating, i don't see any interest of SMS/MMS/W@P.... in schools... :D :D

In Bosnia teachers dont know anything about mobile,they have them but they just know how to call.During the exam e are using them to send questions via sms,and when we are answering in front of blackboard we are using handsfree sets.I dont know for how long we will be able to do this but today it still work out.

No chance we can use cell phones during exams and stuff. but we have other ways of cheating...:)

WAP could be used to quickly find out something. Like in a lesson, if no-one knows something (including the teacher) then just go onto Google on your mobile and get the answer!

in our scool yr 7 kids hav had them lil hand held comp sets, if these prove useful everyone in the school will hav 1 of them. this will mean
*no hwk on sheets, insted it will b sent throught IRda from the teachers handset 2 ours
*Browsing on the net
*sending messages 2 m8s in class cus of Irda
*no handin in hwk, insted send it 2 the teachers through Irda

in my school (i'm only year 8) we have these PDA type things called bron-com... they are the register and you can store on them, looks quite good.:):):)im in the u.k and ALL mobiles are band so i can't see how just camera phones are :S

Aparently they are going to ban camera phones all together in Schools (in the UK).
If this was to happpen I am afraid I will have to become a Jipsey and live on the road. Im scared!!!

Some schools and colleges already have banned them in the UK...and if i was you i`d stick to school,you may even learn how to spell gypsy :lol: :lol: :p
